Event Description

European Guanxi and Young China Watchers Hong Kong are coming together for a half-day programme dedicated to mentorship, professional development and career opportunities across the Greater Bay Area.

The morning will begin with the Young China Watchers Hong Kong Mentorship Programme, bringing together selected mentors and mentees for structured introductions, goal-setting and the beginning of their mentoring relationships.

The event will then open to the wider public for a European Guanxi panel discussion on how young European and international professionals can develop careers in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and the wider GBA.

The panel will explore where the most realistic opportunities currently exist, which skills and profiles employers value, the importance of Mandarin and local experience, and how professionals without an established network can begin building traction in the region.

The programme will conclude with an extended networking session bringing together mentors, mentees, speakers and public participants.

The public programme is designed for students, recent graduates and young professionals interested in developing their careers in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or elsewhere in the Greater Bay Area.
