Key Outcomes The forum brings together young people from all over Europe and the Indo-Pacific region to discuss important topics for the future of the strategic partnership such as security, climate change, digitization, human rights, and trade policy. As the outcome of the event, we will issue targeted policy papers with recommendations for our common future that will be shared with local, national, and EU policy-makers during the events surrounding the EU-ASEAN Summit.
Programme Youth Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in five panel discussions and two workshops, as well as having the chance to attend the EU-ASEAN Business Summit and the EU-ASEAN Youth Summit in Brussels on the 13th of December, an opportunity to engage with experts across many fields and to discuss youth-related policy approaches. The programme will be soon available on our websites. If you have questions, need further information or want to share an observation, please contact the planning team via youngindopacificforum@gmail.com, or just ask European Guanxi!
Options for Participation Youth Delegates can join online, as self-funded participants on-site or be selected for a scholarship to support travel costs (subject to specific eligibility criteria). The scholarship will be provided by our Partner, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). Our conference will offer 24 Youth Ambassadors (12 from Europe and 12 from Asia) a scholarship opportunity (travel reimbursement). In addition, there  will be 16 self-funded spots available to discuss their ideas, worries and hopes with their peers on-site. Youth Delegates selected for the scholarship will be required to book and pay for flights themselves first. After the conference and participation in all sessions, the scholarship holders will be fully reimbursed for their flight costs. Applicants are eligible for the scholarship from ASEF if they are between 18-30 and hold the nationality of one of the 51 ASEM Partner Countries.
